Not much is known about this time in their lives. What is known is they traveled to Jappa and along the way, Xena had heard about a young Japanese girl named Akemi. Akemi's father was a very wealthy man and Xena saw it as an opportunity to ransom her off and receive a hefty payday from it. Borias was with Xena when she kidnapped Akemi, but he left shortly after that. Perhaps because he was bored or because he figured there wasn't anything there worth conquering. Xena on the other hand, stayed, and because of her staying, the cose would later be her life.
